Version 2.0.0

What’s new, improved, and fixed in this release.

What's New in Tempered Strength, Update 1.10.0

Release Date: 01/05/2026

This update is massive. And we see it as a real step in the maturing of Tempered Strength and what it’s going to become.

A lot of this came directly from feedback and involvement from the fitness community. Thanks to everyone who shared thoughts, tested changes, and helped us build something that works for a wider range of people.

Onboarding Flow

Previously, when you first opened the app, you were dropped straight into the thick of it. We want the first experience to feel more welcoming for both new and returning users.

To address this, we now collect key details up front, like your name, gender preferences, interests, and a few essential settings. That means when you land in the app, we can tailor things to your needs from day one.

What this enables

  • A more guided first session (instead of “figure it out as you go”)
  • Better defaults for training style and preferences
  • A more personal experience across the app

Hybrid & Conditioning

We’ve made meaningful improvements to Hybrid and Conditioning training so it’s easier to follow, easier to progress, and better aligned with real-world training goals.

Highlights

  • New workout blocks, including Tabata, AMRAP, For Time and more meaning we have added new programs to consume these new features

Tapping into a New Market

This release expands who Tempered Strength is for, without losing what makes it effective.

Whilst we haven't moved away from strength training, we realised that a lot of people actually doing strength training do cycles, after a heavy block they go to a more conditioning focus. So we don't want them to move away from the platform when that happens. we want the app to be useful year round.

Account Section Upgrade

We’ve upgraded the Account area to make it more useful, clearer to navigate, and more aligned with what people actually need to manage.

Improvements

  • Categorised program settings and general settings to reduce clutter
  • Allow Re-Onboarding

Workouts and Programs

This update includes new training content and improvements to existing workouts so you have more variety, better structure, and clearer intent behind each session.

Added

  • 5 new workouts focused around HiiT style training
  • Workouts now have sections based on your preferences
  • Programs are now ordered by what best suits you based off onboarding
  • Programs now recommend you the best fitting program based off your onboarding questions
  • Added 3 new fully featured programs. DB+KB bootcamp, HiiT shred and Pilates
