Whats Coming to Tempered Strength

We’ve been quietly ticking along for the past few weeks, and we just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s had a nosy around the site. A special shoutout goes to all the Personal Trainers, Coaches, and Physios who’ve shown interest in listing and helped shape what comes next.

And when we say thank you, we really mean it, over 5,000 people have visited Tempered Strength in the past 28 days!

So, what’s next?

Plenty has already been built, but this update is all about what’s coming. We’re breaking the upcoming work into three main categories: Continuous Work, New Work, and Spike Work. Let’s dive into each.

Continuous Work

This covers features we’ve already built, but which are constantly evolving. There’s always room to improve, and whether it’s based on feedback or experimentation, we’ll keep tweaking things to make them better.

SEO

Search Engine Optimisation is crucial. The site needs to be fast and easy to discover on platforms like Google. That means putting serious time into performance and visibility to ensure our trainers and gyms are easily found.

Articles & Tools

No surprises here, we’ll continue to add more useful content and tools to help make your fitness journey smoother and more informed.

Experiments

We regularly test new ideas and tweaks on existing pages and features to make sure they’re working as well as they can. Expect ongoing improvements across the board.

New Work

As the name suggests, this is all the fresh stuff we’re excited to bring you. Most of this starts as “spike” work (see below), but here’s a sneak peek at some of the new features we’re exploring:

  • Exercises v2 – A better experience for exploring movements.
  • Improved Trainer Discovery – More ways to search, filter and find the right trainer for you.
  • User Accounts – So you can stay in the loop with updates.
  • Guest Writers – More voices, more value, more perspective.

Spike Work

Spike work is where we’re exploring ideas or planning out how to build something before we commit to delivering it. Not everything here is guaranteed to go live, but it helps us understand what’s possible, and what’s worth doing.

Gym Listings

Currently, we list personal trainers, but we want to go further and include gyms too. The goal is to help you discover great local gyms and see which trainers work out of them, so you can find both your gym and your next coach in one place.

Admin Panel

We’re building internal tools to help the Tempered Strength team manage content more efficiently as the site continues to grow.

Programmes & Workouts

We’ve got exercises… so why not full workout plans and structured programmes too?

Map v2

We’re looking into how we can improve the map experience for both trainer and gym listings, better visuals, smoother interactions, and more useful info.

Community Accounts

We want to bring the community closer together. With accounts, you’ll be able to leave reviews, post comments, upvote content, and get more involved with everything we’re building.
